After public review and discussion, we now proudly present the revised and final draft of the SAIA Code of Best Practices together with its complementing technical documents.
We would like to thank once again all participants of the review for their contributions, inputs and improvement suggestions.
SAIA Members will adopt the Code of Best Practices (as applicable). We are now in the process of developing checklists with unambiguous criteria to be used by members of the control body who will assess member's performance against the Code of Best Practices.
We consider our Code of Best Practices as living document, thus your input is always welcome. The review is an on-going process which will help us in improving our perfomance. Please contact the project manager: Christiane Schmidt
Moreover we are still searching for authors of the outstanding technical documents as listed in the SAIA Catalogue of Technical Documents.

It is your chance to participate in the transformation of the European Aquarium Industry to adopt best practices in the handling, transport and sale of marine organisms. The SAIA Code of Best Practices will be our stepping stone to reach out to the suppliers of the marine aquarium trade to help them implement best practices on their end too.
